Closing of Hodges reservoir to recreation

As most of you know Hodges reservoir has been closed to recreation for dam repairs due to low water.  Closing the reservoir has rarely if every happened due to low water.  We have heard that due to “new” areas of concern found on the dam, the lake may be closed for another year or possibly indefinitely.  We are trying to get  a solid/committed answer and or a City representative to better explain what we can expect in the future.

New Dam survey work and planning

A new dam is planning to be built on the backside of the existing dam. Preliminary planning and scheduling is in process. We will be scheduling a city spokesperson to go over how this will affect our community and adjacent reservoir recreation.

Lake drive traffic calming solution

Lance Covington and Kevin Kidd-Tackaberry are making slow but steady progress in addressing speeding traffic on Rancho road and Lake drive. Updates to follow. PLEASE document close calls, near misses and document (video) people passing and speeding on Lake drive.
